An awesome site

For sometime now I have been a regular visitor of http://www.vegastodayandtomorrow.com/ . I'm a visual guy (as most guys are) and this site is full of pictures of current, and up-and-coming projects in Las Vegas. Not just more Hotels and Casinos, but also residential towers, condos, and more. Even though it IS actually mostly new hotels and casinos, if your interest focuses on the Las Vegas Strip this is an awesome site.

Especially fun are the implosions. But also lots of construction photos are saved for posterity.

The site is updated virtually every day (that's just a bit more than this one :-)) so it pays to visit it often!

The top-5 hotels in Vegas?

Disguised as an objective review, this report shows ads for 5 Las Vegas hotels: the Bellagio, the Venetian, the MGM Grand, New York New York, and the Four Seasons hotel. Nice hotels, but the top-5? Not really, they missed out the Wynn for example. And to add insult to injury, they even show a shot of the rollercoaster in Circus Circus when talking about the Manhattan Express rollercoaster in New York New York.

So why am I showing this on my blog? Just to show some pictures from nice hotels in Las Vegas. Not that they are the top-5, but they are good Vegas hotels nevertheless!


P.S. Except the Circus Circus, ofcourse.

Fire in the Monta Carlo Hotel & Casino!

A fire blazed through the top floors of the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino. The place was evacuated, 3000 rooms had to be emptied. Even a bride in gown had to run out.

The biggest casino in the world

Las Vegas tycoon Sheldon Adelson, owner of the Venetian Hotel Casino and Resort, has expanded to Macau. That's the new Las Vegas, and according to the news, it will surpass Las Vegas gaming revenues as soon as 2008. Sheldon's new Venetian Macau is the biggest casino in the world.
