Las Vegas Trolley

Now doesn't that look cute? It's the Las Vegas Trolley, a means of getting around in Las Vegas that I had not tried before. And I found out it has pros and cons. The cons: it only runs up and down the strip - but then so does the monorail. Also, there's alot of ads plastered on the windows, so you cannot really look outside very well. And that is a pity, since there is so much to see on the Las Vegas Strip. And lastly, you do need a lot of time... this thing is slooooow. The main reason is that it actually travels up and down the strip, and the strip is like a 24/7 traffic jam. It's also called the biggest parking lot in Vegas. The good news is that you get to see a lot - if you can watch through the holes in the advertisements, that is. There are a few stops, at every other casino, between the Stratosphere and Sahara on the north end, and Mandalay Bay on the south end of the strip.

I did not mind the slow speed. Heck, I'm a tourist! There's no more sorrier being than a tourist in a hurry. Relax... Another good point of this Trolley is that it goes to the Hilton, too. That hotel is off-strip, but still has many attractions, if you're a sci-fi fan. Which I happen to be.

Maybe the best news is the price... only $1,75. Make sure you have exact cash, the driver does not have (or give) change. Many people still pay $2 anyway. A dayticket is $5. And that is not very expensive. So unless you're in a hurry... try the Trolley!
